Requirements:
|
• Experienced in managing Multi-Team Projects across all phases of the project life cycle, • Minimum of 10 years IT experience • Experienced in Deploying Clinical Applications in a Hospital environment, especially with Go-Live events and Initial Production use. • Experienced facilitating / mediating / negotiating between IS Application groups and Infrastructure Teams and Clinical User groups • Understands Hospital / Clinical operations and their use / dependency on information systems • Demonstrated Project Management experience / practice including Effort Driven Schedules, Structured Issue / Risk Management, Metrics and Reporting • Monitor performance against plan ensuring that all project commitments are met as specified in the plan • Demonstrate an understanding of the SDLC methodology, approach, artifacts and templates • Be familiar with the required work products for CHOP’s methodology • PMP Certification a plus • Clinical Education a plus • Consulting experience a plus

Job Description:

As a Deployment Manager, you are responsible for planning the activities associated with Deployment. Given the breadth of responsibilities, upon completing the initial planning activities, each major Deployment activity will be transitioned to a team leader / project manager and team for the activity’s subsequent execution. The Deployment Manager will be responsible for managing those multiple teams. The Deployment Manager is also expected to mentor and guide the team leaders as they drive their respective Deployment activities. The Deployment Manager reports to the PMO Health Systems Director, taking project direction from the Acute Program Director in a peer relationship with the other Acute work streams (Training, Build, Testing, etc). The key Deployment planning activities consist of: • Plan for the creation of an overall Deployment Strategy • Plan for the creation of a Data Migration Strategy • Plan for the definition of production support requirements and processes (help desk, application support team) • Plan for the creation of the Go Live Readiness Assessments • Plan for the creation of the Go Live Cutover Plan / Backout Plan • Plan for Business Continuity via planning for Down Time Procedures Each of these activities will transition to a team, led by a team leader/ project manager, for subsequent execution.
